Due to the current disaster emergency declared by Governor Wolf by Proclamation dated March 6, 2020, and the subsequent Executive Orders closing and extending the closure of schools, closing non-life sustaining business, and imposing a “stay at home” order for several counties, including Montgomery County, and in consideration of the health and safety of the school community, notice is hereby given that the Abington Board of School Directors (the “Board”) shall convene its regularly scheduled Board meetings using a virtual meeting platform for the meetings scheduled for June 9 and June 23, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will be accessible through the Abington School District’s publicly accessible website, www.abington.k12.pa.us. The public Board meeting will be streamed live on the Abington School District YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/AbingtonSchoolDistrict/live) at 7:30 p.m. Directions for connection to and public participation in the meeting will also be posted at that publicly accessible website. Additionally, comments may be mailed to the District at 970 Highland Avenue, Abington, PA 19001. The meeting shall be recorded and accessible on the District’s website to allow those members of the public that cannot participate to review the proceeding at a later time. The Board reserves the right to entertain any and all such matters that may be properly brought before it at the meeting. This notice is posted pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Sunshine Act, 65 Pa.C.S. § 701, et seq.
