At last night’s School Board meeting Dr. Sichel proudly announced that Willow Hill Elementary School has been awarded a $50,000 Title I Reward Innovation Grant! Mr. Damon Jordan, Principal at Willow Hill, announced in April 2016 that Willow Hill was named a 2015-2016 Title I Reward School: High Progress and was eligible to apply for a competitive grant. Only 20 of the 90 Innovation Grant applications submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Education were awarded the grant. The grant at Willow Hill will fund instructional materials and professional development focused on student writing. In addition, the grant will fund the purchase of approximately 65 Chromebooks and three storage carts for use by Title I students at Willow Hill to enhance their writing skills. Congratulations Mr. Jordan and the Willow Hill staff!
