Our hearts are with the loved ones of the victims of yesterday’s shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, and our thoughts remain with their entire school community who experienced another senseless tragedy.
As school safety is paramount in the education of our students in Abington School District, we are grateful for our continued partnership with the Abington Township Police Department who assist Abington Schools with staff training, building inspections, and ongoing awareness and alerts. Additionally, it is essential that we continue to make the availability of mental health resources a priority for our school community.
