David Ferro, an art teacher at the high school, was notified that a ceramics piece that he and his wife collaborated on, “Scale and Cloud,” was accepted by Ceramics Monthly Magazine to be published in the September issue with the theme “Pour It On.” Another piece, “Wave Jar,” a tall jar with a wave pattern, was featured in the “Glaze Recipe” section of the issue. Dave’s students’ ceramics have been featured in many exhibitions and that his own work is featured in an industry publication is great recognition of his craftsmanship.
